If there’s one thing I really appreciate having when it comes to stocking groceries and some household items it’s a Costco membership! (For example to refill my propane tank for the bbq it only costs me $9.99 CAD as opposed to $20 to $30 anywhere else.) This year I decided to go through my place of work as the yearly membership cost was lower. As it turns out that was a futile exercise in attempting to save money on a money saving membership. I only saved about $10.00 CAD by signing up through work, however it took well over a month and a half for me to receive my actual membership. In the elapsed amount of time without a Costco membership I estimate a loss of roughly $125.00 CAD from having to buy only from the regular grocery stores. Too bad for me, mental note to self to avoid Corporate bureaucracies and take independent action. I’m going to be hitting Costco in a big way this weekend, time to stock up the fridge, freezer, pantry and refill my bbq tank.
On another note it seems that someone mistook my car parked in my driveway as public property the other night and decided to swipe a wheel cover. Mind you, given the fact they restrained themselves from taking all four it was probably just some mischievous simpleton, otherwise I would welcome them to take the remaining three. It’s almost time to take the snow tires off anyhow, dust off my high performance summer tires and take back the streets! Zoom Zoom…

COSTCO HERE WE COME…Back the truck up and load er’ up. I can’t believe how long it took for money to go from one person to Costco to obtain the membership…really does it take 1 month to mail a cheque???
Terrific posts! I love the last few. Cracks me up and some very good insight.
