Working from home

Category: Jobs | | Written by Jono Cono 2 Comments

This week has been wonderful and the beginning of a new change for me. This week I started working from home and happily so. It’s been a long time since I worked at home, around four years. I had always enjoyed it even though I do enjoy the company of others. What I’m going to be doing now won’t be so bad as I’ll still go into the office for a week here and there.

It’s so amazing being able to work from home and not having to commute or waste all that money and time. There’s no forgetting to bring a lunch or worse your wallet. There’s no getting stuck behind crap loads of idiotic Ottawa/Quebec drivers who mistake the highway for a secondary road. The days fly by without constant distractions and it’s so peaceful, just me and the Chitty. I’m going to savour every minute of working from home.

I have to say my employer is quite generous, they even went so far as to buy me slippers for working at home. It makes me laugh but they’re great, I’m actually wearing them right now!

They bought you slippers!!?? I’m desperately curious to know what they’re like, are they big and furry, or do they have Curious George on them, Harry Potter or some other such nonsensical image? Or are they those old man tartan ones? A picture is required please!

They did indeed buy me slippers, no images…just big dark blue comfy fuzzy slippers!
