| Written by Jono Cono Gears of War is officially driving me nuts. The game has some bugs that are just annoying and sometimes cause you to restart from the last checkpoint as you get stuck in the game. There was one part when I was up against the Corpser and got stuck floating on the Imulsion liquid. This happened because I went to revive a team mate that was down right at the edge. As soon as I went to pick him up the Corpser slammed the ground knocking the edge loose and we were both stuck. We could move around and shoot but couldn’t get back onto the rocks or die.
There are other things that I find annoying like starting off from certain checkpoints. At the point of the game where you go to secure the pumping station it’s a long walk and when you die it’s a long walk all over again. Maybe I just die too much, lol.
Other than the bugs themselves in Gears of War I’ve had trouble running the game itself. It’s disappointing after just having played Call of Duty 4 with maxed out settings and no issues at all. Gears of War has been choppy, I’ve ran the update, updated my video card driver and still have issues. I’ve read that a lot of people have had issues running the game. In this case I don’t think it’s a hardware issue, I exceed the minimum requirements. It probably boils down to the fact that it’s a Microsoft game for Windows arghhh. I’ll still finish the game, beat it and burn it, next please.
Update | I finished playing Gears of War last week and promptly uninstalled the game. It was a lot of fun and challenging, if only it didn’t continually freeze and have so many bugs it would have been awesome.
