Blu-Ray versus HD DVD format battle is over.  I don’t think it was much of a battle to begin with.  With only a few years gone by since the two technologies emerged a quick decision was made.  Personally I never cared about either technology, I have never used either and have no intention of ever using Blu-Ray.  There doesn’t seem much point, for the cost it’s just not worth it.

Just imagine how right now you can go spend money on a spindle of regular blank DVDs.  Let’s say out of a spindle you get 3 DVDs that are crap.  It’s not a huge loss of money and you kind of expect it to happen.   If you were to go out and pay $20 for a blank Blu-Ray disc and it was crap you would be a little more pissed off.  The question is would you be able to get a refund?  Probably not, I’ve never tried returning a dud blank disc before but highly doubt you would get a refund.  The issue is that you can’t prove it’s a defect in the product.  There is also KIBKAC (Known Issue Between Keyboard And Chair) to consider.  A little user error can go a long way to mess up a blank CD or DVD.

Some people say Blu-Ray some said HD, I say who gives a crap.
