I have never used a CAA service before and am not a member so I don’t speak from personal experience. This morning around 7:30 AM the doorbell rang which is unusual for that early in the morning. It turned out to be my neighbour who had unfortunately locked their keys in the car with it running. There’s never an ideal time to do that sort of thing but especially not when it’s -27 degrees Celsius out, which it is this morning.
My neighbour needed to know the number for CAA so I checked it out quickly online. You can call them on your mobile using *222 in Southern Ontario. They gave CAA a call and less than 15 minutes later I saw the CAA tow truck pull up, five minutes after that my neighbour was good to go. That seemed to be fairly quick and painless and definitely a benefit of being a CAA member!
