TL-WN353GD PCI WIRELESS CARD

Category: Computers, Technology | | Written by Jono Cono 2 Comments

The TL-WN353GD PCI wireless card is not compatible with Windows 7 at all.  I had recently purchased one of these cards and had a lot of issues with it.  Regardless of which PCI slot I used there always appeared to be an IRQ conflict.  When attempting to install Windows 7 Ultimate with the TL-WN353GD in the system I would experience intermittent freezing and the mouse and keyboard input would get stuck and freeze.  As soon as I pulled the TL-WN353GD out of the system everything went back to normal.

I did try putting the TL-WN353GD back into the system after Windows was installed.  Windows 7 did pick up the device but was unable to install any driver for it.  I went to TP Link support and they don’t have a Windows 7 driver available.  When trying to install the Vista driver it comes up with an error stating “This Operating System is not Supported”.  So I returned this wireless card and picked up a D-Link Rangebooster one for the same price which works awesome.
