Guess I’ll check in with the neighbours next time before I do anything. They sure are neighbourly when it comes to taking advantage of our driveway without asking LOL.

One thing I haven’t tried yet is following someone and I’m not sure how to reply to others. Perhaps you need to be following someone first or them you to get going with replies. At any rate, enjoying the Twitteredness of Twitter which I suppose would really be Tweeting? ;-)

The first interesting conversation involved a gentleman who was telling me about a hotel he had booked in Provo, Utah, (roughly an hour and a half from Salt Lake City). Well he had found this hotel and booked it online, he choose this particular hotel due to the convenience of its location. It wasn’t until later while he was discussing his hotel choice with someone else that he found out the hotel had actually been torn down, it no longer existed but for some reason was still showing up online.  He had a good sense of humour as the idea of him pulling up in his rental car to a big hole in the ground where his hotel should have been proved to be quite hilarious in his opinion.  We shared a good laugh over that and I pointed out that overall it’s probably a good thing he found out beforehand.

My second interesting conversation was with a fellow out in Edmonton.  I talk to him once and a while, really nice fellow and very easy to get along with.  This may sound weird but the story he was telling me about had to do with a hotel as well.

He was telling me about his stay at the Fort Garry hotel in Winnipeg.  Now like most people these days he has a cell phone but never receives calls on it late at night, 2:00am would qualify as being late.  So this one night, he’s already in bed sleeping and his cell phone rings, he answers and there’s no one there, just soft music playing.  It was not any music that he was familiar with and he discounted the call as being a prank of sorts and went back to sleep.

It wasn’t until the next day when he was talking with his wife and told her about the call when she offered her own piece of information.  That previous evening she had been watching a documentary on television about the 10 top haunted places in Canada, and Fort Garry hotel was on that list.  Apparently one of the activities the restless ghosts get up to is placing untraceable calls to people’s cell phones staying in the hotel and playing music.  All things considered it could be worse.  Up until that point this fellow was unaware that Fort Garry hotel was haunted and swore he’d never stay there again.  On another note the beds there are remarkably comfortable.
