Wed, 25 Aug 2010 23:30:16 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0.1 Student loan free http://www.jonocono.ca/ramblings/2007/08/09/student-loan-free/ http://www.jonocono.ca/ramblings/2007/08/09/student-loan-free/#comments Thu, 09 Aug 2007 16:39:36 +0000 Jono Cono http://www.jonocono.ca/ramblings/2007/08/09/student-loan-free/ Yesterday marks the end of a long eight years of financial slavery to both provincial and federal bodies as well as the bank.  It feels soooo good to be student loan free, it’s like a film of filth washed away.  I’ve always hated student loans and the fact that education is so damn expensive.  Let’s face it, no one can afford to pay for education outright, by that I mean the student themselves, not their rich parents.  The only way I can think of to get an education without incurring debt is quitting school when you’re 16, work full time for 3 years while living at home.  Spend a summer getting your GED and then go study, of course that would only get you through your initial 3 or 4 years.

Suffice it to say that I think I’m happier now that my student loans are all paid off then I was when I completed my education, lol.

I had never used PHP or knew anything about it until I started blogging. Once my blog was up and running I had to learn PHP the hard way and spent many nights up late tweaking code and figuring out how PHP worked. Surprisingly PHP is quite intuitive and an easy language to grasp although I could have done quite a sight better had I some actual PHP training.

There is PHP training out there that is both affordable and led by Zend certified PHP MySQL training instructors with a lot of experience behind them. These structured and well developed courses are offered by OTG at very competitive prices. OTG can set up onsite PHP training at your location and there is always public enrolment courses that can be attended. I highly recommend that if you’re interested in PHP or even want to learn more about it that you sign up for some PHP training. It’s a much more efficient way to learn PHP!
